Gingerbread Blondies

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon gingerbread spice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2½ cups flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter; let cool slightly.
  2. Whisk in the dark brown sugar, eggs, gingerbread spice and vanilla.
  3. Stir in the flour, baking soda and salt.
  4. Stir in the pecans.
  5. Spread in an oiled foil-lined 9-by-13-inch baking dish and bake at 350 degrees F until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, begin checking at 25 minutes.
  6. Cool.
