The next time you find yourself in need of an easy, savory appetizer recipe to bring to a party, bring these Chorizo Pigs In A Blanket and leave all the store-bought Swedish meatballs and spinach dips in the dust. Packed with flavor, these also offer a cool combo of textures: chewy chorizo, soft pastry, and crunchy sesame seeds. Literally all you do here is cut strips of Puff Pastry, brush with chili powder seasoned egg wash, wrap each strip around a piece of Spanish chorizo, brush with more egg wash, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake till golden.
They’re really cute all lined up in a row and would be a fun addition to a tapas spread. Your bigger kids could probably make this entire recipe on their own. Here are a few more super simple but delicious recipes using Puff Pastry for you (or your kids) to try: Ice Cream Profiteroles , Spring Tart , and Easy Strawberry Tart.
