IT’S SUMMER!!! Summer means a few things, but – most importantly – S’MORES. We replace the Hershey Bar for a Reese’s Cup in our favorite s’more. And the only thing better than a s’more made the old fashioned way with graham crackers is a s’more made with a soft graham cracker crumb dough and a peanut butter layer. The result is a gooey, rich bar of summer fun. It’s true that you won’t get that toasty marshmallow heaven with this version, but if you don’t have a camp fire handy, it’s the next-best thing. Grab some milk and sink your teeth into the delicious layers of this fun cookie bar.
We used those huge, thick Hershey bars but the chocolate layer was a little too thick for our liking. We suggest using bars that are the same thickness as the regular size Hershey bar.
We used natural peanut butter, but any peanut butter will work.
A jar of marshmallow Fluff is the perfect amount for this square pan of treats.
Put your kids to work. This is an easy and fun recipe! At the very least, let them place Hershey bars on the bottom cookie layer.
Don’t worry if your top layer isn’t perfect. It doesn’t have to be!
We first spied these on Pinterest and decided to try Lindsay’s version from Pinch of Yum and they didn’t disappoint. We will refer you to her blog post for the recipe. Thanks for the great recipe, Lindsay!
